A cool sea breeze greeted riders at the Toormina Velodrome last Friday night. Nothing unusual about that, as it is only several hundred meters from the coast. As usual the track looked excellent under lights, and riders enjoyed an action packed night.
The night passed without incident, a reasonable field of riders competing in four races, with a double handicap testing the backmarkers.Thanks to Col Makinson for casting an experienced eye over the juniors. Thanks again to the parents who helped out on the night, plus the team of coach, race director/handicapper & chief sausage sizzler Sue Cameron, Tracee Hardaker and Geoff Hardaker. Race Results :

Track racing is open to all UCI/CA licence holders regardless of age or experience. Racing kicks off at 6pm Friday night at the cycling complex at Toormina. Do yourself a massive favour and get on a track you’ll never look back.
Training is essential! Tuesday nights: juniors from 4.30pm and seniors from 5.30pm ish. Qualified coaches are at the track to sort you out. If you don’t have a track bike, we might be able to sort you out.
Novice track riders are asked to keep pedalling and to stay upright at all times.
