It was great to see the track season back in full swing on Saturday afternoon with enough riders for 4 divisions of closely grouped riders. Thanks to Cassie for the following results...
Again the track came alive with a flurry of riders from Coffs to Grafton and an invasion of crickets and other flying insects that left everyone ducking and weaving on the track...
Tonight was the last of the Monday pre-season track racing sessions, and it was another cracker with 19 riders putting in some quick laps of the Toormy velodrome. There was a slight breeze in the faces of the riders down the back straight, but it didn't seem to affect Coffs riders desire to get stuck in.
Pre season Monday night racing is proving a winner with a great night of racing at Toormina last night, despite the school holidays which traditionally take away a few riders.
In the senior races Alex Beedie showed that he has really improved his sprinting, getting the better of seasoned speedsters Kevin Hawes and Richard Berends on a number of occasions...
Another strong field took to the velodrome on Friday night under lights. Nathan Hardaker and Chris Jahnz dominated Open grade races, with Matt Hoy unlucky with several second places. Results in the other grades were mixed, a number of riders showing good form on the night.
