Coffs to Coffs (or Grafton to Coffs with a twist) Print

IMPORTANT CHANGE OF COURSE: Due to Grafton Council refusing approval to race over the Orara River Wooden Bridge on Orara Way, the race will now start and finish at the Upper Orara Hall. See below for a full description of the new course.

Race Information:

  • Start/Finish: Upper Orara Hall on Mt Browne Road.
  • Sign on from 9:00am for a 10:00am start.
  • Race entry fee is $15 and you must have a current race license.
  • B, C & D grades race approx 81kms (see below for details).
  • A Grade races 108kms. Same course as B grade with a detour down Bucca Road from Nana Glen School and return.
  • Presentation, prizemoney & BBQ at the finish.
  • Total Prizemoney $1055, paying down to 5th place for A, B, C & D.
     

Junior Race Details (U17 & U15):

  • Start at Glenreagh and finish at Upper Orara Hall on Mt Browne Road.
  • Sign on from 10:00am. Race starts just after A grade pass through which is expected to be at 11am (but be early just in case A grade are riding faster than anticipated).
  • Race entry fee is $10 and you must have a current race license.
  • Distance: 37km (see below for details).
  • Prizemoney paying down to 3rd place.
     

Riders and Supporters Please Note:

  • All riders must obey all road rules and keep to the left hand side at all times.
  • Follow any instruction from Police, Emergency and race Officals
  • Supporters must  not follow the bike riders this could mean your rider will be removed from the race. (this causes traffic hold-ups and frustrations)
  • To get to the Upper Orara Hall: If travelling from Grafton, travel down the Orara Way to Karangi and turn right at the P.O and store near the school. From Coffs Harbour, travel along Coramba Rd and turn left toward Mt Browne. See the Google map links below for details.


Details of the new course are as follows:

  • Start at the Upper Orara Hall and head north along Upper Orara Rd
  • At Karangi turn left into Coramba Rd.
  • Continue north toward the turn around situated approx 5km north of Glenreagh (exact location yet to be finalised)
  • Return south along the same route, but instead of turning right into Upper Orara Rd, continue straight on, then turn right into Mt Browne Rd.
  • Continue along Mt Browne Rd up and over Mt Browne to the finish just past Upper Orara Hall.
  • A grade will do the same additional leg as in previous years, turning left at Nana Glenn into Bucca Road (on the return leg) to a turn around at Central Bucca Rd (Bucca T).
