Naturally, with such a big event planned, it rained to start the seasons first track carnival at the Toormina Velodrome. Thankfully it didn't last long and racing got under way a fraction later than expected. A couple of light showers did provide short interruptions during the night, though the only race not to run was the last event on the card, the A Grade 10k Scratch. Thankfully.

 

An excellent turnout by riders from Port, Armidale, Inverell and Grafton made for great competition, a huge thanks to all riders, families and supporters who made the trip to Coffs for the weekend. 

 

A crash in the latter stages of the A Grade Handicap was the only sour note on the night, with permanent damage to both Nathan Hardaker's and HoyBoy's helmets, thankfully no damage to the contents.

ALSO: Coffs Cycle Club has a number of junior and senior track bikes available to club members, but will also make spare bikes available to visitors.
