If you want to know what's on, then you're going to have to hit the link on the left saying Event Calendar! Please note that the majority of the red directional arrows at Cows with Guns in the Pine Creek MTB Park have now been removed. They were essentially put up for the Pleasure& Pain and to assist riders to find new trails that had been opened. There are a couple of trails that are to be ridden in one direction only - these have a "wrong Way" sign notifying riders of the direction that you cannot ride in!
Round 2 of the 2012 GNaTPACK series is on Sunday the 6th of May at Kempsey. Check out all the information and online registration on the Kempsey club website. Online registration will close on the 4th of May so you better get entered if you don't want to miss out. There will also be a Super D race on saturday 5th of May at Kempsey for those who like their racing pointed downhill.
A second working bee was held on Sunday 29 April with more clearing of Bullroarer completed. Of course the best laid plans in MTB can be frustrated by rain and we were hoping to put a compactor over the trail but it was too wet. Once it dries out a bit we'll get it bedded in with the compactor - looks like bandicoots like digging in the freshly tuned soil.
The GNaTPACK series is hosted by mountain bike clubs on the NSW Mid North Coast. Grafton, Nambucca, Taree, Port Macquarie, Armidale, Coffs Harbour and Kempsey all host a round with the club choosing the race format. You can do one race or the whole series – but once you start, you may find it hard to stop!
It sounds like there will be an exciting new course layout raced for the first time and lap times should range from about 16mins for the gun riders through to about 28mins for those who enjoy a more leisurely approach.
