We had some great riding in the juniors with strong rides from James Sullivan, Anton Lupinski and Gabby Sullivan. The group was split when James and Anton were able to hang onto the tail end of the passing D-grade.

D-grade numbers were down this week but that didn’t stop new comer Simon Lewis from picking up the prim points and 1st place. He rode strong all race, showing the young guys how it is done.

C-grade had some great fast racing with the points all fairly evenly spread out. Craig Allen picked up 1st, Rob Fletcher 2nd and David McDonald 3rd. The prim points were won by Grant Howard.

B-grade had another week of great racing with a number of mid-race attacks of which none could be sustained resulting a group finish. Alistair Lane rode well, picking up the prim points and 1st place.

A-grade was two races in one with the group being split by the relentless riding of Kevin Hawes and Dan Alcock. Kev was too strong winning the prim section and 1st across the line.

Racing wouldn’t be possible without the help of our volunteers. A huge thank you to Sue Cameron, Geoff & Tracey Hardaker and Dan & Meredith Gillespie for running the races. Good luck to all our riders in the Grafton to Inverell races this weekend.

First place received 5 points, second 3 points and third 1 point. There was a prime lap mid race which was held at the starter’s discretion which was worth 3 points. It was great to see so many new faces at racing. Please remember to make these people feel welcomed by getting to know them better.

We had 35 riders in total for the race.
